SEXUALITY
SEX. IT CAN BE HARD TO ADMIT that you have questions about it. I admire the teens I spoke with while writing this book who found the courage to ask questions about sex. Sometimes even identifying what your questions are can be hard and figuring out where to get answers can be a challenge. It is not surprising that this is the longest chapter in the book. I have tried to include all the information I could find about the impact of chronic conditions on sexuality, birth control and pregnancy. There is also some information about sexual development.
Remember as you read this that many of the questions you will have will have answers that vary from one person to another, and from time to time in your life. Only you can decide what is right for you. Just because your best friend is having sex does not mean you have to. Various family members may have different ideas about things like masturbation. Get the basic information that you need and then think about the issues involved. Make your own choices.
